Your files

Uploaded files are converted on our server (a Hostinger VPS) and kept only long enough for you to download the results. A background job removes expired uploads after the 6-hour retention window, measured from upload time. Cleanup runs periodically, so deletion can follow the expiry time. Downloading does not extend that clock.

Per-file size cap: 25 MB. Per-job file cap (after ZIP expansion): 50 files. Total upload and expanded ZIP contents: 64 MB per job. Total converted output: 64 MB per job. Automated conversion processes file contents to produce your Markdown output. We do not sell those contents.

Job records

The converter stores job records with your uploaded files and results. These include an optional email address, file names, relative paths, status, size, and conversion errors. They support job status, requested notifications, and recovery after a service restart. New jobs are no longer copied to Supabase. Earlier job records remain there, including optional email addresses, status, counts, and timestamps. Older analytics and consent records also remain. These historical records are not covered by the file expiry period. You can contact us about their removal.

Deletion

Access ends when the job expires or you use Delete job. Cleanup removes uploaded files, converted results, and local job records. For a job with an earlier Supabase record, cleanup also requests removal of that matching record. If storage cleanup is temporarily unavailable, it is recorded for retry. The page tells you when access is removed but cleanup is still pending. A private job link gives access to its results until deletion or expiry. Share it only with people who should have access.

Optional email

If you enter an email address, we use it for one intended completion notification, with retries if needed. We do not add you to a mailing list or use the address for marketing. Our email provider, Resend, processes the address and message to send that notification. Provider acceptance does not prove that the message reached your inbox. Resend’s email delivery records follow its separate retention practices and are not erased by the file expiry period.

Analytics (only if you say yes)

Google Analytics loads on public pages only after you choose Allow analytics. Declining leaves analytics off. Private job pages are never measured, even when analytics is allowed. Analytics consent is separate from providing an address for a completion email.

When enabled, Google Analytics uses browser cookies to measure public page visits and selected conversion actions. Events include bounded counts, recognized file formats, size ranges, output options and whether a completion email was requested. They exclude file contents, filenames, email addresses, private job IDs and links, query strings, and referrers. Google receives this analytics data. We do not enable Google signals or advertising personalization.

Use Analytics settings in the footer to change or withdraw your choice. Withdrawal stops further analytics and removes Google Analytics cookies from this browser. Your preference remains saved so the site remembers your decision. Forms and conversion still work when analytics is off.

What we do not do

No hidden or covert tracking scripts, no fingerprinting, no selling data, no third-party ad networks.
